Cameron Court, Warrington: Roof and Building Envelope Refurbishment

A roof overlay, new wall cladding and rooflights for industrial units that stayed in use on a live COMAH site.

About this video

Cameron Court is a group of industrial units in Warrington. The sitting tenant operates a COMAH site, so the work had to be planned around a live, regulated operation.

The client wanted to improve the look of the site and the thermal performance of the buildings, bringing them in line with or ahead of current building regulations and helping to reduce future heating bills for tenants.

Our technical surveying division carried out investigation surveys of the cladding and roofs. Electronic leak detection and moisture mapping showed the roofs were suitable for a cost-effective overlay system. We provided a detailed condition report with U-value and dew point calculations, and our design division produced CAD renders of the proposed upgrades.

The programme and health and safety planning let the tenant keep operating while the work was carried out. New rooflights and wall glazing also bring more natural daylight into the buildings.
